Tunisia without festivals...here again!

For the second time in a row, the Tunisian theatre, which has praised music, drama and dance since the mid-1960s, has not started.

Tunisia is famous in the Arab world for its festivals (approximately 400 years), especially in the summer when artists from all over the world will go there for pilgrimage; almost no musical star has not experienced him in Carthage, Lyme, The music festivals in Hammamet, Sousse, Sfax and Monastir are somewhere between blues, jazz, classical music and Arabian talabs.

In August of this year, Covid19 shattered this hope, and the Ministry of Culture did not attempt to use the streaming media technology used in Tunisian Theatre Week to propose a new virtual formula until the last minute. "But here, due to the impossibility and complexity of this proposal, the Ministry is withdrawing and announcing that it will allocate a budget for artistic performances in order to provide financial support for the artists and technicians who make up the largest part of Tunisia.

The coronavirus is big. Pop ended its cultural and artistic activities about a year and a half ago, and all major festivals were cancelled, and hope to be reorganized this summer. He got the opportunity, although he tried to avoid it.

He also discussed all the options for avoiding the cancellation of the festival. Option, but the widespread spread of the virus and the possibility of a new wave later this month doubled the fear. For the second year in a row, the cinema was empty and the lights went out. Come out, the artist’s voice is gone...this It was the moment of death, everything in his life was full of smell, and the city of Tunisia was drowned in silence!
