United Arab Emirates plans to issue digital currency




 A national news agency stated today that the UAE Central Bank hopes to issue digital currencies as the first step in such initiatives in the Arab world.

 The central bank’s strategic plan for the period 2023 to 2026 includes seven goals. "Including the issuance of digital currency based on the latest artificial intelligence technology and supporting the digital transformation of the financial services sector (...).
